After church today we had a little "ladies only" refreshment in honor of Mother's Day, which is officially tomorrow. Nothing focuses the girls quite like a plate of sweets.
Charlotte receives assistance from her special friend Jetta. After church Jetta showed us photos from the fire that destroyed her home when she was just 12 years old back in 1980. Her baby sister who was four at the time died in the accident. Jetta loves the girls as they remind her of her little sister Jordana. Jetta is always thanking us that she can be with the girls, but we're the ones who are thankful for all her help!
Ava was thrilled with the strawberry covered sponge cake that the other American family brought. (Her dress is darling--thanks Nana!)
