Peasant Village Pics

Per request, here are a few more pics from the Peasant Village museum:

My house in the country would have to be in the region with the blue and white painted cottages.

Icons every 100 meters (or less).

Ava stands in front of a house built into the "mud"--reminds me of Laura Ingalls Wilder. She lived for a time in a sod house or some such thing, right?

Love the thatched roofs.

Chad went with Ava to climb inside the windmill, but there were no windows, so it was very dark and very dangerous on the ladders conveniently placed inside for your use! No one seemed to mind though, as there was a steady stream of people going in and out. We often come across such "liabilities": unmarked open construction trenches, wires dangling loose on the ground from the power lines, wretched sidewalk potholes, etc. Where are the attorneys? (wink, wink)
