Besigheim: Beyond Cute!

Since our good ol' hometown didn't have a restaurant to feed us, we traveled two km up the road to the district center of Besigheim. Besigheim is one of those southern German towns that are so cute it almost hurts. This is the stuff Disneyland dreams of--only it's real!

We had more awesome traditional German fare which I must describe: one of the BEST Kaesespaetzle (homemade noodles with regional cheese and delicate onions), Bratwurst for the girls, and I was so enamored with my Spaetzle, that I can't even think of what Chad had, but it was good. Of course, Apfelschorles all around. Three years is just too long to have been away from this.

We stayed the night at the ridiculously charming Hirsch Hotel (circa 1600) and nearly went mad as the girls decided to get up for two or three hours in the middle of the night and "play". Hee-hee-hee. Ah well, at least we were the first ones to the breakfast buffet.
