Bun Venit! aka welcome!
Our kind Romanian friend from the plane ride, escorted us to the customs agent, who thought we were moving too slow with our three kids, stroller, diaperbag, purse and four carry-ons-- she rapped her fist on the counter and cocked her head to one side, almost challenging us to come forward. On cue, Audrey pitched a fit, which surprisingly, won over the young customs agent, who started smiling and making googley eyes at Audrey.
It was very hot in Bucharest, about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. So much for all the woolens I packed (Oh, I'll use them later, I know). We were met at the airport by Bogdan, a co-worker of Chad's, who helped us with a taxi and also drove to our apartment. Did you know there are apple orchards by the airport in Bucharest?
